A camp on the lagoon where gray whales give birth every winter, and the sardine run passes in summer.
The place
On the sandbar at Puerto Chale, this camp is base for three seasons: gray whale (January–March), marlin & sardine run (July–October) and humpback whale (December–February).
Safari tents on the dune, hot showers looking out over the mangrove, and a kitchen run by the family that has cared for this site for 30 years: fresh seafood, oysters from the farm next door, ceviche in the dunes.
