Every January, thousands of gray whales arrive from Alaska to give birth and breed in these protected waters. You'll ride small boats built for close, respectful viewing, with expert guides who read the migration as it happens. At dawn: mothers and calves, quiet lagoons, golden dunes, and a silence broken only by their breathing. The camp pairs the comfort of luxury tents with conservation work, field talks and a kitchen that cooks like it matters. Watching gray whales here is more than a tour — it's a few days spent close to these gentle giants.

The trip starts in La Paz, BCS. Our transport picks you up at the meeting point and we drive to Magdalena Bay together, then on to the camp, where a warm welcome and a fresh meal from the kitchen are waiting. After settling in, we gather around the fire and our biologist walks us through everything worth knowing about the gray whale.
We're up early for sunrise, coffee and breakfast, then out on our first Ocean Safari — several hours at sea looking for gray whales. In the afternoon, lunch is fresh ceviche served in the dunes. Back at camp: sunset, dinner, and slow time around the fire.
We head out early for a second Ocean Safari, so you leave with nothing left on the list. Then we visit a community-run oyster farm to see how they're grown — and sit down to oysters and fresh seafood minutes out of the water. Back at camp for sunset, and one more fire under a sky with no city near it.
On the last day, we have one more breakfast to say goodbye to Magdalena Bay, pack up, and drive back to La Paz.
